The First Gig

Everyone knows that the excitement and adrenaline of your band’s very first gig is unbeatable. It is also nerve – wrecking for some, but relax, that is normal. Everybody went through that phase, well, not everybody, at least every band in the world. You should first consider this things:

  1. If you’re going to do shows in places far from you, you’re going to need a way to get there. So first things first, you’re going to need a trailer or a truck with a top because you’re going to need to get your stuff there and you’ll need it dry when it gets there.
  2. If you’re going to do your first gig, you don’t want your instruments scratched or broken so have it individually placed on a hard case. Make sure that everything’s completely packed safely.
  3. Make sure you have back up equipments and instruments, like for example, guitar strings, slings, cords just in case they get screwed up in the middle of a show. You don’t want to get caught without a back – up incase that happens. So, bring with you an extra piece of everything important.
  4. Practice everything in advance. When you go to your first gig, you surely want to make an impression to the people, a good one. That is the whole point, and you don’t want people think that you suck as their first impression of your group so better be prepared.

There are lots of things that you need to consider but it’s up to you to find it out for yourself because it is better that way.
