Frequently Asked Questions

What if I've never taught guitar before?

The package offered will set you up with everything you need to know. You don't have to be an advanced player as 99% of students are beginners. What you do need is an open personality, reasonable confidence in your playing and the ability to communicate well. Your ability to communicate is the number one requirement for being successful as a teacher of anything

How long does it take to build a teaching practice full of students?

If your doing it correctly it normally takes 4-6 months to build a popular teaching practice. It depends on the time of year also as teaching guitar tends to follow the school terms and numbers drop by half during the summer

Where do I teach from?

Our approach utilizes local schools as our experience (and that of others worldwide) show this to be the most secure way to generate good income teaching guitar. There are specific approaches and criteria you'll need which we'll explain to you in training. Ideally you'll have 3-4 different schools and visit them for lessons, for example, teach at one school every monday morning and another each wednesday afternoon ECT

What happens once I buy the franchise?

Once you have gone through the contract involved and are satisfied with everything a training day will be arranged in a city centre location. You'll need to pay half the initial fee before training to secure it. Training will prepare you for everything you need to do and include demonstrations of how to teach the material successfully. A personal plan will be drawn up for you to follow and we'll work with you throughout the entire process so you can get up and running quickly

Will I get students?

The short answer is almost certainly YES. The guitar is THE most popular instrument and there's a good demand for guitar lessons out there. When it comes to getting students it's important to know what really works, who to approach and how to advertise effectively. We don't train tutors and then abandon them... our business is only a success if you are successful!

The syllabus is designed to keep students long term which is the single most important key to generating a healthy and dependable weekly income. Once established, your teaching timetable will become static with the same students coming at the same times week after week, month after month.

What do guitar teachers earn?
